Vijay Nair is the CEO of Only Much Louder. He embarked on his music career at an early age managing Indian acts. What started as a hobby became a business venture when he founded Only Much Louder, the first artist management company for indie bands in India. Vijay’s career started at the age of 15 when he started consulting Procter & Gamble on their Indian youth portal Masti.com. Subsequently, he worked with the Indian indie music zine Gigpad.com and got initiated into the music business. He dropped out from college at the age of 18 and started managing leading acts in the Indian independent scene, including Pentagram, Zero, PDV and AFS. Over the next few years, OML evolved from an artist management company and co-founded an indie music label, a production house and a live events division. In 2009, Vijay was the first Indian to win the prestigious British Council International Young Music Entrepreneur of the Year award. He has been identified by many publications including India Today, CNN and the National Knowledge Commission as one of the young Indian entrepreneurs to watch out for in the media and entertainment space.
Girish ‘Bobby’ Talwar started his career as a lawyer with a specialization in media and entertainment law. While a bassist for one of India’s biggest rock bands, Zero, he co-founded Only Much Louder with Vijay. He won the Indian Young Music Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2007, starting a trend for OML. At OML, Bobby leads the Syndicate agency which manages and books some of the leading artists in India. Syndicate works with several venues and event agencies across India, booking artists for their live entertainment properties and programs some of India’s leading music festivals.
Ajay Nair joined OML in the beginning of 2010. Previously, he was the Chief Operating Officer at Spring Healthcare, a private equity fund owned by Sabre Capital. He has been a business consultant with Accenture and an investment banker at Avendus previously. After five and a half years of working in strait-laced corporate environments, he figured that it’s time to help build a business at OML and introduce some discipline to the chaos here. Ajay is in charge of strategy and finance at OML.
Dhruv Jagasia joined OML in 2011. Dhruv manages some of India’s top bands such as Indian Ocean and Midival Punditz for the last few years. His passion for the arts has seen him travel all over the world. He was the recipient of the “Herald Devil Award” for the musical “Ye Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan” at the Edinburgh Fringe festival 2003. At OML, Dhruv was the festival director for NH7 Weekender and Invasion Festival properties. He currently works with Vijay in developing and executing experiential marketing solutions centered around music for some of the leading brands in India.
Shreyas Srinivasan joined OML in April 2010 and co-founded OML’s digital business. He has since been involved in creating and launching NH7.in. He also manages e-ticketing and digital marketing at OML. Before OML he was the co-founder of RadioVeRVe, one of India’s first internet radio stations. He is a well know open source developer and speaks extensively on open source and related technologies. He hopes to be a professional tennis player in his next life and wants to build awesome products in this one.
Arjun S Ravi is the founder of NH7 (http://nh7.in). In 2008, he started Indiecision - one of India’s first music blogs which soon became India’s leading resource of music news and opinion. Indiecision is now the magazine of the NH7 music discovery platform. Arjun has been a music journalist for over eight years and has written for several national and international publications. He believes in brutal honesty and thinks your band sucks.
Samira Kanwar is the founder of Babble Fish Productions. With over a decade of experience in media and advertising, Samira has a keen understanding of how music and video come together in a way that’s incredibly refreshing and unique. From digital videos to documentaries and TV shows, Babble Fish Productions has turned music videography into a fine art that has been refined by Samira’s exceptional outlook.
Anirudh Voleti runs The Syndicate along with Bobby. He quit a career in finance to pursue a life of working with artists in the Indian music scene. He manages Mumbai electro-rock giants Pentagram and books hundreds of gigs at venues around the country. Previously, he has worked with Citibank and D E Shaw and moonlighted as the singer in a nu metal band.
