Often called one of India’s most intelligent comedians, Anuvab is a veteran on the circuit, having performed all over India and cities such as London, New York, San Francisco, Dubai and Singapore. He remains the only Indian comedian invited to perform by Harvard University.

Anuvab has had three stand-up specials that began in Mumbai and played to sold-out houses around the world: The Empire (based on the history of India under the British Empire) and The Nation Wants To Know (a take on India pre and post liberalization), which sold out 3 shows in New York City in record time. His latest special, Alive at 40, is now streaming on Amazon Prime.

He has performed for several corporates and conducts workshops as well, with an emphasis on creativity, including Microsoft, Apple, Coca-Cola, HSBC, Google, Facebook, American Express and more.

He has written the 2007 Bollywood movie, ‘Loins Of Punjab’, which went on to become India’s highest box office grossing comedy in English, of all time which won several Indian and international awards. He also wrote 2009’s ‘The President Is Coming’. He is a theatre writer as well, and has several plays to his credit which have played in India and New York, and contributes a column to the Economic Times.

He hosted a successful humour podcast ‘Our Last Week’ with actor Kunal Roy Kapoor, and is currently a recurring guest on one of the most popular humour podcasts in the world, ‘The Bugle’, hosted by Andy Zaltzman.
