Wil Dasovich, YouTube legend and every Filipino’s favourite creator, has created stellar content pieces for his fans since 2014. He’s done it all, right from travelogues to personal life vlogs with close friends and family. If you ask us, Wil Dasovich could possibly do anything. His content is humorous, spontaneous and all too relatable in one way or another. Over the last 6 years, Wil has received recognition for his work from all across the globe, even bagging the Vlogger of The Year award at The Shorty Awards in 2018. His high-energy, positive and charismatic personality have won hearts world over, us included!
So in 2019, when we launched the platform Bacardi Sessions that brings together vloggers and musicians to create impactful and thought-provoking work in the Philippines – we were convinced that Wil Dasovich had to be a part of it. Wil is at the very heart of Manila’s popular culture and what appealed to us the most was that Wil not only made great content but he left a lasting impact on his viewers through his thoughts – thoughts that would positively urge them to be spontaneous and live in the moment, a feeling that resonated with Bacardi Sessions and #DoWhatMovesYou.
The campaign set out to make incredible music videos with leading rappers in the Philippines. Wil’s passion for content and the strong bond he shares with his audience helped us reach out to fans across the country and create Manila’s first ever music video, inspired by what moves their fans. A hip hop fan himself, Wil paired perfectly with Al James and Just Hush, two of the country’s most promising musicians.
At the culmination of this campaign, Wil got inspired by the Do What Moves You movement and Bacardi Sessions to a degree where he tried something for the first time – he made his very own rap verse and featured it on an inspiring blog that urges fans to be themselves, to try new things, and ultimately to do what moves them.
