A Dewar’s cocktail when paired with a side dish, is a combination worth killing for. Dewar’s knew this and tasked us with the noble job of making this information public.
For this task we had to look no further than Daddy Foody, Lebanon’s biggest food content creator & professional foodie. Daddy penchant for creating mouth-watering food content perfectly synergised with Dewar’s ask to position itself as an accompaniment for gourmet food.
Together we developed Fork Off, a cook-off series where Daddy Foody battles against the best Lebanese chefs. Their aim is to create their own renditions of a dish. While the chefs whip up gourmet masterpieces, Daddy Foody settled for street food-like renditions of the chosen dish. To complete this experience, we had a bartender on call to help whip up Dewar’s cocktails worthy of being paired with these masterpieces.
This gamified format allowed the content to be both entertaining and information-dense at the same time. By integrating the cocktail in the narrative of the show, we were successful in shifting the perception of Dewar’s to a drink that pairs well with food.
Guests and fans were invited to the live taping, where they got a chance to taste the dishes created by the chefs while sampling a Dewar’s cocktail at the same time. This allowed us to convert the shoot into a fully immersive experience for the fans.
This show is delightful to watch when full and hell when hungry. Watch with caution, as you also run the risk of hunger pangs and bursting a lung with laughter on Daddy Foody’s antics.
