Bringing the biggest forces in pop culture under one roof – to collaborate, create & throw the best party around the block!

When Bacardi came up with the idea of the House Party Sessions, it was planned as a global campaign to be conducted in 5 regions across the world, where the brand championed music & built a landscape by providing the artists a platform to launch their music, both live on-ground & digitally.

The campaign began as an exclusive one-of-it’s kind party – bringing the biggest & top talent for one night of an up close & personal show in a private venue. Starting for the first time ever in South Africa in 2017, it grew over a period of 3 years to become an iconic platform that became a cultural frontrunner & a matter of prestige to be associated with for every established as well as up & coming artists in the country.

Here’s a brief overview on how we laid down the hottest tracks, threw the most lit parties & passed the beat down in Mzansi with SlikourOnLife!

Every musician in South Africa was looking out the next opportunity to be a part of this movement. Gigi Lamayne, Aeon Wolf headlined the first edition, followed by DJ Shimza, Nadia Nakai, DJ Speedsta & Frank Casino in 2018. The rest, as they say, is history.

We partnered with local music culture content champions SlikourOnLife, to recruit the top hip-hop talent in the market. Together, we curated the lineup that would scale up the Bacardi House Party Sessions (BHPS) platform.

The roster grew over time – artists that featured on support slots at these shows turned into potential influencers for the brand, embodying their motto of living in the moment – #DoWhatMovesYou.

Great content was born out of collaboration. Nadia Nakai’s 2018 release ‘Naa Mean’ featuring SA superstar Cassper Nyovest set the bar for Bacardi House Party Sessions in all senses – the style, the vibe, the attitude & the product.

2019 saw some fire releases coming from the newly christened ‘Bacardi 8’, ranging from trap/hip-hop club bangers, catchy summer party tunes & the year’s top ranked gqom/Afrohouse drops!

The collaborations continued, with an intimate ‘Live Sessions’ format to capture the tracks & the artists in their element.

Audiences got a slice of this with the video content & the artists encouraged them to experience the actual House Party Session on-ground, with shoutouts, callouts for #DoWhatMovesYou on social media comments that won viewers exclusive private invites to the event!

Through the power of music and creator led marketing, we took Bacardi to the masses with content that set the #DoWhatMovesYou vibe.

To top things off, the entire lineup featured on the 2019 Bacardi Holiday Club edition, with three days of performances with over 40 artists performing at the scenic Welgelegen Manor, curated by Until Until.
