Global alcohol brand Bacardi is always known to encourage and support a new wave of artists that influence the zeitgeist of pop culture in a country. In order to continue to do the same, but take it a few notches higher, in 2017 with our help Bacardi launched Bacardi House Party Sessions – a platform connecting Bacardi to music to create culturally relevant content taking it on-ground with live gigs. The campaign was activated in five countries including South Africa, India, UAE, Thailand and the Philippines. The overall campaign collaborated with 29 artists leading to 19 music videos, 38M views, and 1.2M+ conversations.
In Thailand, the impact of this was incredible as the brand experienced a 76.5% increase in positive sentiment for the brand. In Thailand, singer songwriters Billy Boy and Note P took on a challenge to identify artists in the country and gave them a platform to showcase their passion to a larger audience. The duo shortlisted 2 winners, Cut The Crab and Jazdrops.
Bacardi House Party Sessions, launched across 5 countries, resulted in a wave of new musicians and successfully embedded Bacardi in popular culture.
In the Philippines, along with music, we also leveraged one of the country’s most relevant genres of content, Vlogs, to generate wholesome and inspiring content for the youth. We worked with one of the most popular rappers in the country, Abra, who was famous for his upbeat style and helped bring alive the Bacardi House Party vibe through his work.
Bacardi House Party Sessions in Thailand helped provide a platform to budding artists and allowed them the opportunity to work with established artists to hone their skills and in turn, create some stellar pieces of content. Whereas, in The Philippines, it helped provide a platform not only to musicians but also to vloggers, giving the audience a chance to watch leading creators come together and make impactful content.
