For our first activation in Bulgaria we partnered with the extremely popular Bulgarian R&B duo – ‘Skandau’ popularly nicknamed ‘The Gods’. Yes, that’s right, that’s a nickname their fans came up with and they share the story of how this name was coined in one of our content pieces.
We worked with them to integrate Dewar’s in their vlog series and organically brought out the brand’s ‘Double Is Better’ messaging. Besides being one of Bulgaria’s top musicians, the duo is widely known for their playful wit and humour which is showcased in their vlog series ‘Don’t Ask Google, Ask Skandau’ where they interact with fans and read out funny stories.
Throughout this 4-part content series on YouTube, they brought out Dewar’s and the ‘Doubleness’ messaging in a spontaneous fun way, through subtle ‘Double is Better’ plugs throughout the series. Turning their signature clap at the start of an episode into a double clap and cheering twice each time they have a drink are just two of the fun ways in which they brought out the brand messaging.
